The Faculty of Perioperative Care and the Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) are pleased to be holding a joint conference in Birmingham entitled 'The Perioperative Practitioner: Setting of Standards - An Opportunity or Requirement?' on Saturday 29 October 2016.
Although surgical outcomes may reflect the ability of the operating surgeon, the increasingly important part played by the non-medical members of the surgical team is now being recognised. Education and training of these practitioners is essential if all members of the surgical team are working towards the same high standard of patient care.
