Edge Hill University has launched a new partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) to drive forward new medical research and training.
A University of Plymouth academic has been awarded Fellowship to the Faculty of Perioperative Care.
Toby Rankin, Lecturer on the University’s MSc Surgical Care Practitioner programme, received the award for outstanding leadership in education, teaching and training of practitioners in surgery.
It’s hard to believe it’s already been a month since The Faculty of Perioperative Care (FPC) hosted their 7th Annual Conference. Held online for the second year running, the conference offered a diverse programme focusing on the topics of education, research and governance relating to the extended surgical team.

FPC Annual Conference - 19 November 2021
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng), as the surgical bodies currently championing and supporting the work of Surgical Care Practitioners (SCPs), wish to announce that they are working jointly on a new bi-collegiate project intended to better support and assist SCPs in being recognised and granted formal regulation by the General Medical Council (GMC).
