Held online for the second year running, the conference offered a diverse programme focusing on the topics of education, research and governance relating to the extended surgical team.

The Faculty of Perioperative Care 7th Annual Conference is just three weeks away and with a line-up of influential speakers and a programme packed with major updates to the field of perioperative care, this will be valuable to all in the sector. This conference is dedicated to educating and inspiring all members of the extended surgical team. FPC Annual Conference - 19 November 2021
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng), as the surgical bodies currently championing and supporting the work of Surgical Care Practitioners (SCPs), wish to announce that they are working jointly on a new bi-collegiate project intended to better support and assist SCPs in being recognised and granted formal regulation by the General Medical Council (GMC).

Our webinar Covid-19: The value of the advanced practitioner in the surgical team took place on 6th May 2020 and was hosted by Mr Charlie Auld, who invited Ms Jenny Abraham, Dr Bhuvaneswari Bibleraaj and Prof Robin Paton to address the modern Surgical Team as well as discuss the results of the COVID-19 MSc Surgical Practice survey on the impact on trainee SCPs.
