Membership of the Faculty of Perioperative Care (FPC) is open to all perioperative practitioners in an extended and/or advanced role in the UK, including Surgical Care Practitioners (SCP) and Surgical First Assistants (SFA), and those with similar job titles e.g. formerly Advanced Scrub Practitioners and Physician Associates. It is a condition of joining the Faculty that you are in good standing with your regulatory authority.
There are three levels of membership - Affiliate, Member and Fellow. Fellowship is currently by invitation only.
Full Faculty Members can use the postnominals MFPCEd upon being conferred at one of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh’s prestigious diploma ceremonies.

To apply to be an Affiliate of the FPC you should be a perioperative practitioner in the UK. This includes SCPs, SFAs, Advanced Scrub Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Physician Associates, Transplant Co-ordinators and those in similar roles. Trainees who meet the entry requirements are also welcome to apply.
